P90x – Back to Legs and Back

Well, I skipped Yoga yesterday as well. I felt up to it, but had so much school stuff to get (almost) done. I really wish I had focused more on school work and maintaining my health when it was easier and I didn’t have a job and wife to split my efforts. Yeah, yeah, they tell kids that, but they never listen.

Arms are STILL sore from all the curls on Wednesday. I think the first two arm workouts after a recovery week are just going to be like that. My body is probably going “whoah, dude. I thought you quit this thing, like everything else. Why am I up at 5:00am again?” :D

Yesterday’s nutrition numbers were actually pretty good. 51/24/25. I blame the peanut butter. I’m such a sucker for that stuff!

I really need to start finding cheaper sources of clean protein and lower-carb foods. My grocery budget for the month is already about shot. Sometimes I feel like I’m doing too much with the whey protein. Is there anything wrong with having some in the morning, some in my coffee at work, some with my snack, and some with dinner? Just seems like a LOT!

I’m assuming it’s normal for the arms to ache for almost the whole first week back after recovery. Tell me it gets better. :)

It’s like my body is going, “Dude! I thought we quit with this exercise stuff. Why am I back up at 5:00am again?” Haha.

Legs and back in the books this morning. I added weight to all of the moves they recommend weight this morning. It felt incredible. I did peter out on the last two moves though. I am still using a chair for pull ups, and realize how much I’m relying on my legs for assistance. When my legs were fatigued, my pull-ups suffered. I’m thinking of trying to loop some resistance bands through the pull-up bar and using that on my knees instead.

ARX is tonight.
