Okay. I normally despise these. Mostly because they cause me to turn an eye toward myself and evaluate my life; something I like to do as little as possible. But since it’s my ol’ Buddy, Dave, I’ll oblige.
1. One book that changed your life
Neuromancer by William Gibson – This was one of my first forrays into the world of CyberPunk culture. Not only has much of what was fictionalized in the book come to fruition, I can see a great deal more coming true sooner than you might think.
2. One book you have read more than once
VURT by Jeff Noon
3. One book you would want on a desert island
Pollen by Jeff Noon
4. One book that made you laugh
Gump and Co. by Winston Groom – Even though I was laughing because of how horrible it was.
5. One book you wish had been written
The Song of Albion series by Stephen Lawhead – I read the first book in a cross-coutnry trip. It really hit a chord with me and became an obsession. Until I found the other two books, five years later.
6. One book you wish had never had been written
Gump and Co. by Winston Groom – Because of how horrible it was.
7. One book that made you cry
I don’t think I’ve ever cried over a book
8. One book you are currently reading
George Orwell’s 1984 – Sort of fitting given yesterday’s quote.
9. One book you have been meaning to read
George Orwell’s 1984 – I’m only a chapter into it. I need to make myself sit down and read it.
10. Now tag five people
